Applications in the prescribed form together with Registration Fee of Rs.1000/- (Rs.500/- for SC/ST) are invited for the under mentioned posts and should have also qualified (himself/herself) in the National Eligibility Test in the subject concerned except for the post of Technical Officer (equivalent to Assistant Professor) in Computer Application and Science. The candidates who have appeared for the NET examination during the year 2008 can also apply for these posts.
Scale of Pay – Rs.8000-13500 (UGC Scales of 1996)

QUALIFICATIONS
TECHNICAL OFFICER (EQUIVALENT TO ASSISTANT PROFESSOR)
(1) Agricultural Engineering (2) Agronomy (3) Computer Application and Science (4) Entomology (5) Horticulture (6) Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry
EXCEPT AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING
i. A Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture.
ii. A Master’s degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55%
marks or its equivalent grade.
iii. Should have passed SSC examination or any other equivalent examination with Telugu as one of the subjects or should have studied SSC through the medium of Telugu or should have working knowledge of Telugu.
iv. NET qualification in the concerned discipline is essential.
AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING
i. A Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering.
ii. A Masters degree in the subject (discipline) concerned with at least 55%
marks or its equivalent grade.
iii. Should have passed SSC examination or any other equivalent examination with Telugu as one of the subjects or should have studied SSC through the medium of Telugu or should have working knowledge of Telugu.
iv. NET qualification in concerned discipline.
COMPUTER APPLICATION AND SCIENCE
i. A first class Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and
Engineering/Computer Technology/Information Technology/Computer Science followed
by Master’s Degree at least with second class in Computer Application/ Computer Science/Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Technology/Information Technology.
OR
A first class Master’s Degree in Computer Application/Computer Science/Computer Science and Engineering/ Computer Technology/Information Technology preceded by the Bachelor’s Degree at least in second class in Computer Science and Engineering/Computer Technology/Information
Technology/Computer Science/Computer applications.
ii. Should have passed SSC examination or any other equivalent examination with Telugu as one of the subjects or should have studied SSC through the medium of Telugu or should have working knowledge of Telugu.
All the selected candidates are liable to be posted or transferred to any equivalent posts in the State in the same subjects (discipline) in Teaching, Research or Extension under the University.
Prescribed application forms together with full details of qualifications for the posts can be obtained from 1st July 2009 from the University on payment of Rs.250/- (Rs.125/- for SC & ST) in person or through a crossed demand draft in favour of COMPTROLLER, A.P.HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY,VENKATRAMANNAGUDEM payable at TADEPALLIGUDEM, West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh on any Nationalized Bank.
For obtaining it by post a self addressed and stamped envelope of Rs.40/- of the size 35 X 15 cm should be enclosed to the requisition letter.
The envelope containing the requisition for application form shall be superscribed “REQUISITION FOR APPLICATION OF TECHNICAL OFFICER (EQUIVALENT TO ASSISTANT PROFESSOR) POST” and sent to “THE REGISTRAR, A.P.HORTICULTURAL UNIVERSITY, VENKATRAMANNAGUDEM, POST BOX NO.7, TADEPALLIGUDEM – 534101, WEST GODAVARI DISTRICT, ANDHRA PRADESH.

Such filled in applications should reach the undersigned on or before 31.7.2009 at 4.00 PM but the applications received after 31.7.2009 4.00 PM cannot be entertained. The last date for sale of applications is 25.7.2009.
